This has been my first time staying at your hotel. I was using a Pigsback voucher purchased recently. The hotel is comfortable, clean and very accessible. I found the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast offered an excellent and tasty choice of food to set me up for the day. I will be happy to recommend it and stay again.
If there is anything to improve on I would suggest a thermostatic control for the radiator in the room as it was too warm for me.
Lovely hotel, with comfortable bed and nice decor. The room looked onto the road and the curtains did not cut out the light, and there was a bright street light or something right by the window. And there is a serious lack of power points to charge my phone and laptop. Breakfast was lavish. Very well positioned in town right by Trinity College Dublin
Excellent location, very good staff (not smiling or acknowledging the customer is normal in Ireland? I don't know, but this was my experience in this hotel anyways), excellent room and condition of the room. Easy access from Airport, take Airlink 457 (10 Euro return), stops right in front of it.
Breakfast was great if you are a meat eater, but why not have a non-meat, non-dairy option? All it takes is a jug of soy milk and a few packets of oatmeal. I asked the staff if there is any non-dairy milk available and there was non on both days i stayed.
On a minor note, perhaps major for some people, anyone can walk in and go to the elevator and access the floors without being noticed or questioned from the front desk staff who are not always paying attention to the door or maybe busy. Add to this that the hotel room doors don't have a security lock from inside and you could have a potentially serious concern.
We had a really good experience with the hotel and thought the location was really great, walking distance to all of the main sights in Dublin. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The proximity to the stop for the Airlink bus to the airport was super convenient. The room and bathroom were nice and perfect for 2 people. My one complaint is that the room was very dark even with all of the lights turned on. The other weird thing is that the hairdryer was attached to the drawer of the desk so that you could not move it to use it anywhere else in the room. Overall a good stay.
Excellent location for visiting Dublin - close enough to walk into the centre yet quiet. Lovely friendly staff. Excellent breakfast & reasonable restaurant. Good rates available, altho std rooms a little small
Generally the staff were good especially the lady at Reception.
But we found the breakfast a disaster!
Very few options at the buffet.
No offer of a fresh hot breakfast - just hopeless scrambled egg at the buffet which looked as if it had been there for 24 hours. Not what one expects in a Dublin where great Irish breakfasts are always served
Cheap fruit juice and only orange.
No toasting facility
General apathetic staff
No fried, poached eggs offered fresh from the kitchen offered by staff
Poor options of cereals
The bedrooms looked very tired and the bed linen needs to be re- renewed
The TV was ancient and only 4 channels offered - and not good channels. Felt like the seventies!
Hope this helps to upgrade your services
Will not book there ever again!!
Car park was miles away in a not great area of town. No food available at the hotel. No bar available at the hotel. Had to run across busy road to sister hotel for a sandwich. Was only informed of the lack of facilities on arrival. Really not a happy camper. There was a lack of communication all around and absolutely no offers to rectify the lack of service.
